We are excited to announce that Evelyn Delgado, the President of Healthy Futures of Texas, has been named Chair of the Texas Women’s Healthcare Coalition!

Evelyn will assume the role of Chair following former-chair Dr. Janet Realini’s departure last month after many years of service.

A staunch advocate for women and women’s healthcare, Evelyn brings extensive experience as a senior-level executive leader in public health at the Texas Department of State Health Services, including overseeing women’s and children’s health programs.  Using the principles of public health prevention and intervention, community health programs under her leadership served over one million Texans and delivered $950 million in public health services annually. She also has experience serving in leadership roles on a number of national boards advocating for teen pregnancy prevention programs and maternal health services across the U.S.

“For many years I have admired the work of the Texas Women’s Healthcare Coalition,” said Evelyn. “I am honored to be part of this amazing group of partners who together leverage expertise and experience to make a difference in the lives of Texas women. I am certain that we will continue to build TWHC’s impact on the community.”

Please join us in sending a giant welcome to Evelyn!
