Reps. Sarah Davis and Donna Howard spoke eloquently of the importance of women’s healthcare to family health and to the state’s fiscal health.   Dr. Janet Realini laid out the case for restoring funding for preventive care for low-income Texas women.

Ms. Anavi Cantu, a patient of the South Texas Family Planning and Health Clinic in Robstown, shared her story — and why the clinic is so important to her, her husband, and their three children.  Ms. Cantu became tearful describing the clinic cutbacks due to state budget cuts.
