At a recent hearing, our Policy Director, Kristen, thanked House and Senate leadership for their continued investment in women’s health programs, including the Healthy Texas Women, Family Planning, and Breast and Cervical Cancer Screening Programs. She highlighted the positive impact of increased funding, especially for mobile health units in underserved areas, sharing powerful success stories from providers across the state. Kristen also emphasized concerns about federal funding uncertainty for the Healthy Texas Women Program and advocated for more frequent procurement opportunities to help expand family planning services.
