Who was hired and who’s hiring
October proved to be a busy month here at the Texas Women’s Healthcare Coalition, but we found our Advocacy Communications Specialist, Perdita Henry! She earned her Bachelor of Arts in Writing and Rhetoric from St. Edward’s University in Austin. Prior to her work with Healthy Futures of Texas, she spent over two years working with the Texas Academy of Family Physicians creating engaging content and guiding their marketing and social media efforts. She is a veteran of the United States Navy, who found her passion for marketing and branding while working with a book publisher. She’s excited to use her insight and experience to amplify the message of the Texas Women’s Health Coalition in their mission to improve access to preventive healthcare for all Texas women, and assist Healthy Futures of Texas in their goals to advance teen pregnancy prevention strategies.
In other news, our San Antonio based parent organization, Healthy Futures of Texas, is hiring a Health Educator to join the BaeBSafe team. This is a full-time position responsible for collaborating with and providing training/technical assistance to community college staff and students, and participating community agencies, to achieve the objectives of the HFTX C-PREP Alamo Colleges project.
